Why did I dream my boyfriend was a slob?

Question : Can you help me with this dream I had last night? I dreamt that my new boyfriend, who I have known for only 6 months, who is ultra tidy and a maniac about cleanliness, took me to an old house on a prairie at the top of a mountain. The prairie was perfect, but the inside of the house was run down. Filthy and full of half eaten food. He told me he comes to this house to get away from daily life, but I am now confused because I don't know which is the real man I know, the perfectionist or the slob.

REPLY : I think you really know the answer to this yourself, or if not, your boyfriend is trying to share the answer with you. He has taken you to a secret place that nobody else knows about, an untidy part of his soul that is not all controlled as it seems to outsiders. The way seems calm and ordered but inside his as insecure as everyone else and he needs you to understand that, and not to expect him to always be Mister Perfect. Have you argued recently, perhaps because he let you down? That was probably unlike him but the fact that the prairie remains perfect and it's only the house that was a wreck means that it was only an occasional lapse. Why do you expect him to be without any faults? Maybe you are demanding too much and he needs you to lighten up. Think about it. If he has permitted you to see this secret part of him in a dream he trusts you implicitly. Be worthy of that trust, it doesn't matter if he is not superman all the time. I bet he's a Virgo.
